BIOGRAPHY
EDINBURGH PRINTMAKERS where I both make and print my etchings now occupies its wonderful new space at:
Castle Mills,
1 Dundee St,
Edinburgh EH3 9FP
I was born in Nairobi, Kenya, a country my dad's family lived in from the early 20th century. We emigrated to the UK and settled in Edinburgh when I was still a young child. I went to school there, finishing eventually with a degree in Drawing & Painting from the Edinburgh College of Art. That was the year I joined the Edinburgh Print Workshop as it was known as then.
After working for a decade, first in Thins Bookshop and then, for the newly re-established Fruitmarket Gallery I was made redundant. Luckily I qualified for the Enterprise Allowance Scheme which I did as a printmaker, becoming officially professional a year later.
I now exhibit regularly through small galleries in Edinburgh and other parts of Scotland, in Charity Exhibitions, Open exhibitions and for the Winter Show at Edinburgh Printmakers.
I have two sons.
